Welcome Highest standards Newbury Orthodontic Centre offers specialist orthodontic treatments. Its three Orthodontists (Mr Mak, Miss Jackson and Mr Campbell) are registered on the Specialist List of the General Dental Council and adhere to its rules governing the profession. We provide up-to-date orthodontic treatments to the highest standards for private and NHS patients. Established in 1988, Newbury Orthodontic Centre is in West Berkshire, at the Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire border. It is conveniently located close to Newbury Racecourse, easily accessible by car or train, for patients in Berkshire, the Thames Valley, and further afield For the child patient with a malocclusion deemed severe enough by the prevailing NHS regulations, we can in most cases offer NHS treatment using removable braces, functional braces, metal fixed (train-track) braces or a combination of the above, to achieve the best treatment results. Private options are also available. Adult patients are treated on a private basis. We can offer state of the art braces and techniques including self-ligating brackets. If appearance of the brace is more of a concern, aesthetic (ceramic) brackets, lingual appliance (using the latest Incognito low profile lingual appliance), or virtually invisible aligners (such as Invisalign) may be used depending on the clinical situation. Although not always feasible, when clinically appropriate, we try our best to provide a non-extraction option. The practice is committed to maintaining the highest standards and complies with health and safety guidelines on sterilisation and disinfection. We comply with regulations of the Health Protection Agency in the use of x-ray equipment. We treat patient confidentiality seriously and are committed to upholding the Data Protection Act 1998. We comply with the Freedom of Information Act 2003. Should you wish to make any comment on our service, we have a practice complaints procedure. Please contact our Complaints Manager Nicky Seymour on 01635 528830 and we will do our utmost to respond to your concerns.
