This is a practice that limits its treatment to Orthodontics; your dentist provides all other dental treatment. It is essential that you continue to see your dentist for regular routine care to ensure good oral health throughout your orthodontic treatment. Our Team Orthodontists Mr. Wing Yeung Mak
Mr. Mak graduated with his dental degree (BDS) in Hong Kong in 1985. He worked as a general dentist until 1988 when he attended the three year postgraduate course in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University of London. He graduated with an MSc in Orthodontics (1990), Diploma in Orthodontics (1990) and Membership in Orthodontics (1991) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and is on the Specialist List (Orthodontics) held by the General Dental Council. He started working as an associate in the Newbury practice in 1992. In 1998, he took over as principal of the practice. In June 2006, Mr Mak gave up his part-time post of Clinical Lecturer in the Orthodontic Department at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, a post he held for 10 years, to concetrate on working for this practice. He works in practice on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays. Miss Orla Jackson
Miss Jackson graduated from University College Cork, Ireland in 1999. Following two and half years in dental practice, she spent two years in hospital posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Southampton General Hospital and University College London Hospital NHS Trust, including the Eastman Dental Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick ChilMren. During this period she gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004. She then undertook post-graduate orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London and St. Richard's Hospital in Chichester while working part-time in paediatric dentistry for Islington Community Dental Service. She graduated with MSc in Orthodontics in 2007 and Membership in Orthodontics in 2008. She is registered with the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Orthodontics. She works in practice on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Mr Oliver Campbell
Mr Campbell completed his degree in Dentistry (BDS) in 1998 from the University of Bristol. In his early career, he completed his Vocational Training in general dental practice and a number of junior hospital posts including Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry. He passed the Dental Faculty membership examinations (MFDS) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2000 to enter specialist training. During 3 years of orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London as a Specialist Registrar, he obtained an MSc in Orthodontics (University of London) in 2005 and the Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006. He then went on to complete a further 2 year training at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Kingston General Hospital and passed the Intercollegiate Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics (FDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009 entitling him to work as an NHS Consultant Mr Campbell works on a Friday in the practice.
